What a day for a cruise!! Today a few of us set out for historic Elizabethtown IL,
on the banks of the Ohio River and the floating E'town River Restaurant!!
The drive on the way down through the rolling hills of the scenic Shawnee
National Forest set the stage for a most enjoyable afternoon.
Oh' did I mention that the Catfish dinner at the E'town River Restaurant was more
than worth the drive down?!?!?
If you have never been to the floating E'town River Restaurant, I strongly
recommend that you put it on your "to do" list soon! If you plan on going on a
weekend and the weather is nice and warm, I also suggest calling ahead for
reservations, as this is a very popular spot!
Our return trip took us back up through Harrisburg for an Ice Cream stop before
heading home!!
